The ZM 30 ZM 50 series of 4-rotor shredders are used in the wood processing industry and businesses and trades for shredding bulky strips of old wood like long planks or paletts or for shredding packagings and cartons. This machine makes it possible to greatly reduce wood waste volume and to further process the material.

Output depends on the nature of the material to be grinded and the screen size but usually lies between 300 to 2.000 kg/h. Due to the slow rotor speed of approx. 25 r.pm. the noise level of only 76 db(A) remains very low.
The machines are fitted with an automatic overload protection system and a reverse drive switch. The material is fed to the rotors from the hopper of the 4-shaft shredder.
The hopper operates according to customer specified requirements. The material is picked up and fed into the cutting disks where it is shredded before it is discharged through the screen fitted below the cutting chamber.

The shafts are run by two electric engines each with a driving power of 5,5 to 18,5 kw. In case of a rotor overload the cutting shafts and space shafts will reverse independently and separately from one another.
The shredded material is ejected quickly and efficiently through the screen which is fitted below the cutting chamber. Different screen sizes (10 to 40 mm) determine the size of the end product.
