Briquetting Press - New clamping system for dimensionally stable briquettes |

| WEIMA Maschinenbau GmbH, Ilsfeld, manufacturers of shredding machines and briquetting presses will be exhibiting the latest developments in briquetting presses of the series TH 400 - TH 700 with a new clamping system at this year's Ligna+ 2005. In comparison with earlier designs, the resulting optimised pressing process allows the production of briquettes which are more dimensionally stable and evenly shaped in their outer appearance. |

Briquetting presses of the TH 400 - TH 700 design series are used in workshops and industry for briquetting large quantities of wood shavings, sawdust, sanding dust, woodchips, as well as paper, polystyrene, light alloys etc. In an ideal condition for use as fuel, this provides a huge potential for cutting energy costs by using for own firing or marketing the generated briquettes at a profit. The resulting reduction of occurring chips and shavings by up to 90 percent achieves a further reduction in storage costs and provides the possibility of more economical disposal.
The high-density briquettes have a diameter of 50, 60 or 70 mm depending on the size of machine and a density of up to 2,000 kg/m³ providing a correspondingly high heat output. Achievable throughput rates are in the region of up to 160 kg per hour. The briquette press is driven by an electromotor with an output from 7.5 kW to 11kW. |
